WeMos D1 R32 ESP32 4Mb Development Board WiFi Bluetooth Dual Core Arduino Uno R3 format

An ESP32 in an Arduino Uno R3 format. Ideal if you want to use existing shields on the ESP32 D1 R32.

The ESP32 development board is ideal for IoT (Internet Of Things) projects because, unlike an Arduino Uno R3, it features on-board WiFi and Bluetooth. Easy to program via the Arduino IDE. Connection is micro USB.

This ESP32 board has:

• 18 Analog-to-Digital Converter (ADC) channels
• 3 SPI interfaces
• 3 UART interfaces
• 2 I2C interfaces
• 16 PWM output channels
• 2 Digital-to-Analog Converters (DAC)
• 2 I2S interfaces
• 10 Capacitive sensing GPIOs

The great thing about this board is that you can use it in several ways for WiFi communication.

2. As a WiFi client
3. As a webserver
4. Peer-to-peer with ESP Now

We would like to briefly explain the last one. ESP NOW is a technology that makes it possible to let the modules communicate directly with each other via their MAC address. There is also a return message indicating whether the data has been received, allowing good control over whether messages arrive and you can validate this.

With ESP Now you can work very modularly and it is also incredibly fast. In this way, you can run your program on one ESP32 while letting your other ESP32 boards only respond and, as it were, act as an extension of your GPIO pins.

1 ESP32 can communicate with up to 20 other boards.
