Otronic attaches great importance to the protection of your personal data. In this privacy statement, we explain which data we process when you visit our webshop or place an order with us, why we do so and which rights you have. We comply with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Otronic is responsible for the processing of your personal data as described in this statement.

Which data we process

Contact and address details: name, company name, address, e-mail address and telephone number.
Order details: the products you purchase, amounts, shipping and payment method, and your order history.
Account details: your login details and preferences, if you create an account.
Business details: VAT number and Chamber of Commerce number, if you order as a company.
Communication: messages you send us via e-mail, the contact form or chat.
Technical data: IP address, browser type and the pages you visit, for the security and operation of the webshop.

For what purposes we use your data

The execution of your order: processing, payment, shipping, invoicing and any returns and warranty.
Customer service: answering your questions.
Your account: so that you can log in and view your orders.
Legal obligations, such as the tax retention obligation.
Improving and securing our webshop.
Newsletters and offers, only if you have given your consent for this. You can unsubscribe at any time via the link in each e-mail.

Legal bases

We process your data because this is necessary for the performance of the agreement with you, because we are legally obliged to do so, on the basis of our legitimate interest (such as security and improving our services) or on the basis of your consent. You may withdraw your consent at any time.

With whom we share data

We only share your data with parties that are necessary to fulfil your order or to operate our webshop, such as payment service providers, carriers, our webshop and hosting platform, our accounting department and, if you place an order via a marketplace, that marketplace. We make arrangements with these parties regarding the security of your data. We never sell your data to third parties. If we are legally required to provide data, for example to the Tax Authorities, we will do so.

Retention periods

We do not retain your data longer than necessary. We retain order and invoice data for 7 years due to the statutory tax retention obligation. We retain account data until you have your account deleted. Messages to customer service are retained for as long as necessary to handle your request.

Security

We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data against loss and unlawful use. Our webshop uses a secure connection (https).

Your rights

You have the right to inspect your data, have it corrected or deleted, restrict its processing, object to the processing and transfer your data. Please send your request to support@otronic.nl. We will respond within one month. To prevent misuse, we may ask you to identify yourself.

Complaints

Do you have a complaint about the way we handle your data? Please contact us first, and we will look for a solution together. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority.
