This Optocoupler board is equipped with 2 PC817X optocouplers. For an explanation of how optocouplers work exactly, we recommend watching the video included with this product (English).

The jumper connects the minus/GND planes for a Common Ground. To achieve full isolation, the jumper should be removed.
