Description
Acrylic Mounting Bracket for HC-SR04 Ultrasonic Range Finder Module designed to mount the HC-SR04, HC-SR04+ or HC-SR05 Ultrasonic Range Finder Modules.
PACKAGE INCLUDES:HC-SR04 Ultrasonic Range Finder Module Mounting Bracket2x – M3 x 8mm Screws/Nuts for Mounting
The bracket has two holes for mounting it to a surface, such as a robotic vehicle chassis. The mounting hardware consisting of M3x8 screws and nuts is included.
The ultrasonic rangefinder can be placed on either side of the bracket and with the head facing up or down depending on other mounting considerations.
The bracket is designed to have a slight interference fit where the ultrasonic sensors pass through the holes in the bracket to hold the module in place.
Due to differences in the construction of the various modules, sometimes the fit is too tight in the area between the two sensors. If this happens, the bracket can easily be adjusted by using a utility knife or similar tool to scrape away some of the acrylic from the sides of the holes where the fit is too tight. This is commonly the case with the HC-SR05. It is easiest to do this while the part still has the protective paper in place to minimise damage to the acrylic.
