Omnidirectional or Mecanum wheels are great for fast, sideways movement. When the axle rotates, they also work as regular wheels. If you need more grip, traction wheels offer great pushing power; they are designed for optimal grip on soft surfaces.

We offer wheels in 2 sizes: 60 mm and 80 mm and 4 colors. We sell this size in sets of 4 wheels (2 with rollers to the left, and 2 with rollers to the right).

They can be mounted on TT motors.

The Mecanum Wheel is a special type of wheel that makes it possible to move in any direction. Sometimes it is called the Ilon Wheel, after the inventor Bengt Erland Ilon (an employee of the Swedish company Mecanum AB). This is not a new invention - the first American patent was filed in 1972.

Each wheel consists of diagonal rubber rollers. When the axle rotates, it works as a regular wheel. To take advantage of this special kinematics, a 4WD is required in the vehicle. Identical wheel pairs are mounted diagonally. This way, the axes of the rollers point to the center of the vehicle. Depending on the speed and direction of the wheels, your vehicle or robot can move in any desired direction.

To mount these wheels to a TT motor, the OT3578 coupling is required.
