The VS1053 is a very versatile MP3 decoder, supporting Ogg Vorbis / MP3 / AAC / WMA / MIDI audio and IMA ADPCM and Ogg Vorbis. It can drive a 30 ohm headphone without additional power supply. This VS1053 MP3 Shield is designed based on the VS1053B from VLSI. For the best headphone listening experience, the VS1053 includes EarSpeaker spatial processing that accurately simulates how a room with stereo speakers would sound. In addition, all major formats can be played. The VS1053 can also record in Ogg Vorbis files. With the SD card slot on the other side of the board, you can play mp3 files from an SD card.
