Description
With this little board you can control up to 8 i2c devices on one data line! Even if the i2c devices all have the same i2c address, they can still be controlled separately with this 8-channel PCA9548A. (Also known as TCA9548A which works the same)
This multiplexer creates the following addresses:
0x70, 0x71, 0x72, 0x73, 0x74, 0x75, 0x76 and 0x77.
The corresponding pins are:
0x70 -> SD0/SC00x71 -> SD1/SC10x72 -> SD2/SC20x73 -> SD3/SC30x74 -> SD4/SC40x75 -> SD5/SC5Ox76 -> SD6/SC6Ox77 -> SD7/SC7
Controlling multiple I2C OLED displays
It is possible to control multiple I2C OLED displays using the I2C multiplexer. With one PCA9548A, 8 OLED displays can be controlled.
Controlling multiple 1602 LCD displays via I2C
Controlling multiple 1602 LCD displays is possible by providing the 1602 displays with an I2C LCD adapter board. It is also possible to purchase 1602 LCD displays with a pre-soldered I2C adapter. These displays can then be controlled via 1 I2C data line. Here too, a maximum of 8.
