Digital Barometer Pressure Sensor Module BMP280

The BMP280 sensor is an environmental sensor with temperature and barometric pressure. It is an upgrade from the BMP085/BMP180/BMP183. This sensor is perfect for all kinds of weather measurements and can be used with I2C and SPI!

This precision sensor from Bosch is the best low-cost precision sensor solution for measuring barometric pressure with ±1 hPa absolute accuracy and temperature with ±1.0°C accuracy. Because pressure changes with altitude and the pressure measurements are so accurate, you can also use it as an altimeter with ±1 meter accuracy.

This module is very suitable for the ESP32 and ESP8266 boards that operate at 3.3V. The module can only be powered with 3.3VDC. The I2C/SPI also works with 3.3V, so you will need a level converter when using, for example, a 5V Arduino Uno.

The default I2C address of this module is 0x76. This may need to be changed in the example code/library from 0x77 to 0x76. If you connect the SDO pin to Vcc, the I2C address becomes 0x77.
