Reflective Object Sensor QRD1114

The QRD1114 is a reflective sensor used to detect the presence or absence of an object. It consists of an infrared emitter and receiver placed side by side in a housing with a slot in the middle. When the infrared light is emitted and reflected off a surface, a portion of that light is captured by the receiver. The amount of light received by the receiver depends on the reflective properties of the surface and the distance between the sensor and the object. By measuring the amount of received light, the sensor can determine whether or not an object is present in the slot. The QRD1114 sensor is often used in robots, printers, copiers, and other devices where object detection is important.
