Reflective Object Sensor QRD1114 (OT3641)

The QRD1114 is a reflective sensor used to detect the presence or absence of an object. It consists of an infrared emitter and receiver placed next to each other in a housing with a slot in the middle. When infrared light is emitted and reflected from a surface, some of that light is captured by the receiver. The amount of light received by the receiver depends on the reflective properties of the surface and the distance between the sensor and the object. By measuring the amount of light received, the sensor can determine whether or not an object is present in the slot.
